Room 42 Occupancy Detector

So, I was lounging around one lazy friday, when I encountered an old motion detector on my desk, from projects past. I also dug up a nice colorscape 22, a 22 red, green, and blue LED cluster with a cute little controller that does fades and switches between modes.
With a little wiring and a mighty resistor, I set it up so that the cluster would turn on whenever the detector went off. Simple stuff--nothing to be proud of with the engineering here.

Then, I put the detector inside my room, facing in, and I put the light cluster outside the door.
With this simple setup, my room tells anyone outside if there are people inside, by lighting up the doorwar in psychedelic fading hues.
